JM gave us this review on 07/27/10. Dates of Stay: 7-20-2010 TO 7-25-2010. Will You Return? No. What did you camp in? Pop-up Trailer

Overall Campground Rating: not good.

What stood out? Good: the pool was very clean and good size.Activities were ok more for younger kids. Bad:Flies every where not just 3 or 4 but at least 50.I could not even cook they were every where. We had to get fly catches to control them.At the end of the day we had 20 flies on each one and i had 3 up at a time.

Owners and Staff: The manager was rude and not friendly at all.My kids were playing in the pool at 2:00pm on a Tuesday, the place was empty and the manager sent one of the landscaper guys down to tell my kids to keep the noise down. The guy was very nice and said sorry i am just the middle man.New York has a law you must have a bike helmet 16 and under. My 14 year old did not have one so we had to rent one, but trust me they were not nice about it.The security guy was the laughing stock of the camp ground. He had a golf cart with police lights on it pulling cars over in the campground for going 6 MPH.We had a few drinks with the other campers and they all said they would not come back.

Overall Site Quality: terrible

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Had to go to the office to get wifi. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, somewhat small, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, Sites are right on top of each other. The first site they gave us we could not fit our pop up on.They were very helpful and moved us to another site. That site was still small but better.Thank god everyone around us were very nice campers.

Cell Phone Service: No cell phone service at all.I have verizon and had to leave the camp ground to get service.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: snobby seasonal campers, The one good thing was the seasonal were all on the other side of the lake.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember.

Activities and Amenities

pool, lake, fishing, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, You can not swim in the lake.

What is nearby? 18 miles to the hall of fame.65 miles to Howes Cavern.

Last comments: A lot of campers use this place for a stop over or just to go to the baseball hall of fame.I always read reviews before booking a campground. There were not many reviews about this campground. We have been camping for 15 years and this is my first review.
