Approx Dates of Stay: 8-29 thru 9-1 2003. Overall Campground Rating: excellent. What stood out? Clean, Clean, Clean. Nice Store. Most Sites are Average size to Large. Owners and Staff: I had a opportunity to meet the owners Glenn and Heidi, they are very nice and I watched as they drove around till about midnight making sure the teenagers were in there sites (10PM Quiet Time) and making sure the adults were behaving as well (some were not and it was addressed). Camp landscaping and surroundings: Full hook-up sites were nice, with a good amount of trees and bushes around. The waterfront sites were mostly sunny, and W/E only a few were full hook-up and I think most of them taken by seasonals.

Overall Site Quality: very good. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, sewer. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, sandy bottom, grassy bottom, fire ring. Some of the sites along the river were quite large, and it is a great area to set a few campers if you are in a group. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers. Very well kept.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Very clean. Activities and Amenities: pool, river, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Security I would have to say was excellent. they were around all night and day keeping everything going. Camp store is very well stocked of course with a lot of Jellystone items and also RV supplies, nice selection. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, nature trails. If you like the outdoors this is a great place to go if you want to rock climb, kayak, horseback riding or if you just want to be in the mountains with a view. You are real close to Lake Minnewaska and Mohonk Mountain House. Last comments: I live around the corner from here and we do not hesitate to go here. It is just nice to get away and I feel like I am hundreds of miles away. I would recommend this campground. The prices are a little high, but they are consistent with other Jellystone parks. The only complaint I have is the fees they charge for daytime visitors, which are $10 no matter if they are there for 3 hours or 12. I think they should work on changing that.
