Kathy gave us this review on 08/01/05. Approx Dates of Stay: 7/29 to 7/31.
Overall Campground Rating: fair-average.
What stood out? The tent sites were very nice and the playground looked like a lot of fun. This is definately a "family" campground with lots of children everywhere.
Owners and Staff: The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Lots of pine trees, no shrubs or saplings between sites. The sites were very clean when we arrived. They all had picnic tables and fire rings. Fire rings had cooking grates with handles attached to them. Very nice.
Overall Site Quality: fair-average
Good/Bad sites: We stayed at 81, 83 & 84. They were fine. Noisier sites would be by the playground and pool. Tent sites were beautiful. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, somewhat small, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Tent sites were very private and secluded.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, Most sites were neat, a few were cluttered, but they were off in the woods.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: After reading the last review, we were concerned about the bathrooms, but we found them very clean. We were even surprised to find soap and paper towels in the bathrooms. Most times you have to bring your own. The section we were in had 8 metered showers. Each shower had its own dressing area with a shelf, bench and hooks. The inside of the shower was very clean and there was plenty of hot water all day long. They were large enough for a parent to go in with 2 children. Saturday night there was toilet paper all over the bathroom floor. This is obviously not the owner's fault - it's the fault of dirty campers. There are signs everywhere that ask you to let them know if there is a problem in the bathrooms. Within 15 minutes, the mess was cleaned. Great service!
Activities and Amenities

Last comments: This is a great campground if you have young children. They can run around and have fun and you don't have to worry about the noise. By 11pm everyone had quieted down. Camping is what you make of it.
