Overall Campground Rating: horrible.

What stood out? Cute sign as you leave the campround. So what do you think I'll have to say about this campground. Read on!

Owners and Staff: Very friendly.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Pine trees. Not much for landscaping.

Overall Site Quality: terrible

Good/Bad sites: If you are tenting, those sites look very decent. E/W sites were all on top of each other. A few E/W/S sites that might be O.K. 79,80,82,85 & 89. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, somewhat small, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Small sites with no privacy at all.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered, friendly campers, Of course, the seasonal sites were the largest.

Clean restrooms and showers? no. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The restrooms near the pool area were horrible. The other restrooms that service most of the campground had three stalls for both men and women. The toilet paper ran out on Saturday night in some of the toilets. The only thing that was emptied was the waste basket. They have six showers that service the whole campground. (You don't want to even consider the two showers near the pool area at all.) Not sure if the showers were ever cleaned. They do have a rack within the shower area, two hooks, rack in changing room and bench.

Activities and Amenities

pool, lake, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, bingo, playground, theme weekends, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate. Tiny pool. They do have adult time only for one hour. Once the kids were able to get into the pool, it was packed.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. Kimball's Ice Cream.

Last comments: They advertise - quiet family campgrond on 23 acres with large wooded sites. Don't believe them. There are no quiet hours. No patrol to enforce any load noise. Large - not what I think of being large. I wish I had known how poor of a campground this was before we made reservatons back in March. There are mixed reviews about it so we thought we'd give it a chance. We love this area but have never found a campground that we like in the Monadnock Region. The playground was awesome. That's about it. If you like congestion, noise, and dirty facilities, then go for it. We won't be back.
