Holly gave us this review on 08/26/05. Approx Dates of Stay: 6.
Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Very clean. We were impressed that the park had nice foilage- and that there were information displays regarding the different trees and shrubs. Flower beds were nice.
Owners and Staff: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Staff would always wave whenever they went by your site.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Semi Private sites. Nice shaded trees all around .
Overall Site Quality: very good
Good/Bad sites: We stayed in site #8- level ground and along the river. Nice shaded trees around. We had two tents and a canopy and did not feel at all crowded. We reviewed the other sites as well.- site #10 and 6 were nice and roomy as well. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, Campsite Descriptions: semi-private, large and spacious, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, Wood was readily available to purchase at the office. We had a great stone fire pit.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Restrooms and the shower area were very clean. Only one shower, so during the weekend you may wait, but during the week one shower stall is sufficient.
Activities and Amenities
river, boating, boat rentals, playground, Ice is available for purchase at the office.
What is nearby? restaurants, nature trails. This is the place if you like to go kayaking or canoeing, swimming, hiking, or biking in the summer.
Last comments: Even thought the park is small with only 19 sites-This is one of the best parks around to relax and enjoy the scenery.

This truly is an excellent cg! We stayed over Labor Day weekend. Prime location for those wanting to canoe the Conn River.
Ascutney Mt is 2 miles N. Great summit views! Even saw 5 hang gliders launch one morning.
We had site #4. Nice but not too private and a bit of a walk to the bathroom. Other than sites 3 and 4 all others are outstanding!.
We will definately return.Posted by campne on 09/06/05
