Overall Campground Rating: very good.
What stood out? This is a great campground if you want to feel like your "roughing it". Very wooded, many roots to drive over, no sewer hook-up (there is a dump station.) Very nice riverside sites.
Owners and Staff: Owners and Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Campground is rustic. You are camping in the trees.
Overall Site Quality: fair-average
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, Dump Station, no sewer Campsite Descriptions: wooded, private, sandy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring. We were there for "Adults Weekend" - No kids at the campground at all. So, it was alittle rowdy and the noise went late into the night. But, we expected it and it wasn't a huge problem. We were there with several other couples. In the area we were in M26, R8, R9 and R10 by the river. It was very difficult to tell where the sites started and stopped, and electric/water was difficult to coordinate, we needed many extentions to reach. But, since we were a group, we made a guess at site boundries. It would have been difficult to be in that area with strangers.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered, friendly campers
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Two restrooms with showers at campground and several port-a-pottys.
Activities and Amenities
pool, river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, pool table, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station; Very nice heated pool. Because it was Adults Weekend our group enjoyed just floating around in the pool - no splashes!!
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails.
Last comments: As we left, one of the wife's in our group went to the office to reserve for next year and there was a sign on the door "We are closed for the day, we hope you enjoyed your stay." Owners are very nice, but very laid back, so just be aware of that.
