We have enjoyed this campground a few times over the last year. This park is very clean. The sites are varied from open fields, to tent and seasonals by the lake as well as a number of beautiful sites tucked away in the wooded areas. We have always stayed in the same spot because of the ability to be joined by your friends in a "dead-end" part of the campground which is nestled by a sheep farm.

Rustic, wooded with a 10-acre lake that allows fishing and boating as well as a swimming area. There is also a pond which serves as a nursery for the fish who will be later transferred to the large lake for fishing enthusiast. They have plenty activities for the families and kids but the option is there to stay clear of the fuss and relax in a quiet setting as well. They have extremely clean bathroom facilities as well as a laundry facility. A nice camp store and a large rec hall are at the base of the camp (front gate). There is a secured front gate which allows only the campers to enter and pass -- all visitors need to check in.

The sites are spacious and well cared for -- not a dust bowl or a rooted, rocky headache. The sites that we prefer are #69-76 -- they are secluded from the rest of the camp in a wooded area and support popup campers as well as larger trailers -- however, we have never seen trailers on this particular end. When we camp we like to book up these sites and have a popup powwow with our friends -- the kids are safe to play in this area as it is away from the road that goes through the campground and we can let the kids roam a bit. The playgrounds are well cared for and clean too!

The only drawback we feel is the lake is surrounded by the seasonal campers and not available to those of us interested in just a weekend away -- however, part of the lake is designated only for tents and it is a beautiful part of the lake. I believe popups are allowed in that area if they choose however, there is no electric or water hook ups at that point. We do suggest that you call ahead to book a site as they fill up quickly in the summer and of course the holidays need pre-booking. As far as activities outside the areas the casino's are not too far away.
