- Open year round: Tent $28, W/E $32, W/E/S $36 (prices are for 2 adults, children are additional charge$) *prices are not up to date*
That's Camping Review: The campground is across the street from Squam Lake; they have a small beach on the lake, with docks, moorings, & boat rentals. There is a restaurant and country store, but we waited in line for 15 minutes just to get campground information, because only one woman was handling the store purchases, boat rentals, check-ins, etc.
Nice, well kept, clean campground. A lot of seasonals, so there are limited transient sites (she said that eventually they would be all "seasonal".) The sites that we were told were available were in the Westwood and Overlook/Hollows areas. There is a pool and "Laughing Bear Lodge", and a separate area for boat parking. Squam Lake is a beautiful, peaceful lake; it is the lake where "On Golden Pond" was filmed. There are lake tours, swimming, boating & fishing; and all the other lakes in the region are a short drive away, as are the White Mountains, shopping, hiking, restaurants, etc. ~1999
