Overall Campground Rating: very good.
What stood out? Sites are spacious and well seperated.
Owners and Staff: State run campground with good security and frequent checks of grounds.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded sites. Some larger than others and can differ greatly with respect to any road noise (from heavy to none).
Overall Site Quality: very good
Good/Bad sites: we satyed at #70, which was good, But I liked 72 better. 68 is a nice tent site, next to the water. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, private, semi-private, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, It's difficult to check boxes for site descitpions because they can vary greatly. While some where very small, others where quite large. Some near the entrance would have road noise, but near the water you can not hear the road at all. This is a boaters paradise as you can moore your vessel right off your campsite if you wish. The only thing I didn't like was the sites proximity to the camp road. Some firepits are only a few feet from the roads.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? no. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Some sites may have a bit of a walk to a shower.
Activities and Amenities
lake, swimming, fishing, boating, docks or moorings, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate.
What is nearby? grocery stores, ocean or lake, Boat rentals just down the road.
Last comments: No frills, no electric, quiet times enforced. Very scenic surroundings. We loved this place.
