Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Very Clean! Especially for 4th of July weekend
Owners and Staff: Staff very pleassnt. Someone always available to answer questions.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Very clean. Flowers all over. Very good first impression when you drive in.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good sites: Most are good. Some sites longer walk to bathrooms than others. Bad sites: None we saw
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, Sites have gravel bottoms. Good drainage when it rains.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: Didn't really see any
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Some sites longer walks to bathrooms than other. Bathrooms were kept up all weekend long.
Activities and Amenities
pool, pond, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, They now have a dog park and our dogs loved the opportunity to be off the leash for a little while and to see other"friends" up close.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, Close to West Point, Hyde park, Vanderbilt mansion and thye have bus tours to NYC from the office.
Last comments: We loved it and have booked another long weekend this summer. They also have cabins available.
