Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Good: Sites were shaded (without leaves so early in spring, of course)and wide enough for awning and slides. Store well-stocked even though campground opened only last week. Staff was courteous and helpful. There should be many activities for kids with two pools, playgrounds, and a fish pond. Closest CG to NYC. Bad: Back-in sites are a bit tight for maneuvering, because of narrow roads (OK for motorhomes up to 30-35 ft., but 5th wheelers and larger TT's may have a problem). Some highway noise from Thruway, but not as bad as some other CG's.
Owners and Staff: Typical KOA CG, with courteous staff and good maintenance from what we were able to see.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded campground with lots of shade; two pools; playgrounds; fishing pond. Campground located convenient (7-8 miles from Exit 18) to Thruway between Kingston and Newburgh. Rural suburban location.
Overall Site Quality: very good
Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise,
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, Early in season, not mny seasonals.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember. Additional comments on restrooms and showers:
