Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? This place is IMMACULATE! The staff is always around cleaning and picking up any stray trash.
Owners and Staff: Friendly and helpful
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Neatly mowed grass area, shaded camping areas, flowers
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good sites: Didn't see a bad one. However, large rig sites are not very private Bad sites:
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, picnic table, fire ring, All sites have gravel bottom and very level
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: Only a few and I think they were work campers.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Some sites require a longer walk to the bathrooms than others.
Activities and Amenities
pool, pond, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, live entertainment, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, We liked everything about this place. They even had a pancake breakfast on the weekends.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. Great place to stay if you want to explore Orange/Ulster and Dutchess counties.They also have bus trips to NYC from the campground.
Last comments: We will definitely be going back for a nother realxing weekend. It is close to home and yet,you feel like you are far away from it.
