Saint Ignace, Michigan -

Liz Burden gave us this review on 06/26/06. Approx Dates of Stay: 8/19/06 to 8/21/06. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer

Overall Campground Rating: not good.

What stood out? Poor attitudes and co-operation of staff. No concern for the comfort of the campers.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: The sites were small especially when there were large motor homes lined up in most of them. The front row of sites, where the "view of the lake" was, were all gravel and very dusty. There was contruction equipment stacked everywhere.

Overall Site Quality: not good

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: somewhat small, close to the road,

Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: There were three showers for the women in the campground and two of them emptied into the floor of the middle one. It had hair and gunk in it. You could only use one hair dryer or curling iron without blowing a fuse.

Activities and Amenities

pets allowed, dumping station, There was no playground and no good place to walk your dog. The "sandy beach" was across the road. Definetly not child or pet friendly.

What is nearby? ocean or lake, The attraction here seemed to be the shops in St. Inace, a trip to Mackinac Island, and if you could see around the large motor homes, the view of the lake.

Last comments: This would probably be a good place to stop overnight just to sleep on your way up north.
