Approx Dates of Stay: July 9-11, 2004. Overall Campground Rating: excellent. What stood out? This campground is an absolute gem. From primitive tent sites to huge pull-thrus, they've got it all. Used to be a huge dairy farm from 1945-1965 and then became a campground. If you want the true "Vermont" experience, this place is it. Owners and Staff: Very friendly and helpful. Same family ownership since 1945. Son runs it now. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Grass mowed like a golf course and there is a LOT of it. Nice pond. Lots of room to walk, bike, etc.
Overall Site Quality: excellent. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, phone Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, picnic table, fire ring, Good spacing between most of the sites. Two seasonal areas were set up in a long row, pretty close together. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, Some of the largest, nicest motor homes I've ever seen.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Super clean. Couldn't be better.
Activities and Amenities: pond, swimming, recreation hall, video games, playground, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, General Store in Randolph Center is a very easy 5 minute walk, but there is a small camp store as well. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, nature trails. Vermont State Veterans cemetary abuts the property. Last comments: We're going back a LOT!
