Approx Dates of Stay: August 23, 2002- August 26, 2002. Overall Campground Rating: good. What stood out? After checking in, there was no one available to show us where our site was located. We were given directions by the lady @ the desk, but unfortunately, because our site # was not listed on the sign posted, we made a wrong turn & ended up at a dead-end. My husband had to back up & turn our 32ft Class C around. This was not a very good start for the weekend. We finally found our site with the help of RV neighbor. Owners and Staff: The staff & owners were very friendly. They would deliver firewood to your site - a lot easier than carrying it. Camp landscaping and surroundings: The campground is very wooded - except for one area by the dump station. I'm glad we weren't parked at one of those sites - a field with trees behind the RV's - dirt - no grass etc.
Overall Site Quality: good. Good/Bad site #'s: We were at site #32 full hook-up with cable. Took some maneuvering to get our MH in & out of the site. I did notice the sites being cleaned after check-out, but some how they missed cleaning our fire ring. It had burnt broken bottles & nails it it. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable. Campsite Descriptions: wooded, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise. Our campsite was large & private. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: friendly campers.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating?
no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember.
Activities and Amenities: pool, playground, camp store, AM coffee, snack bar,
pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. No planned activities for
kids. Playground near the entrance is nice & several smaller ones inside the campground.
The pool is not for small children - 4ft - 10ft deep with no safety rope indicating
where the deep water begins. The camp store has limited food supplies & RV supplies.
The laundromat was closed because of the water shortage - we didn't need to use it
but it could be a problem is you were staying any length of time. What is nearby?
restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements. Last comments:
We enjoyed our stay but probably will not return.
