Approx Dates of Stay: Aug 22 - Aug 24. Overall Campground Rating: fair-average. What stood out? Honestly, The campground was nice, but needed a little bit of work in some areas. The 2 reviews from Jodi M and W. Hopkins present very extreme viewpoints, and the reality is, as it usually is, somewhere in the middle. Owners and Staff: The campground is run by a family, who are very friendly and will go out of their way to try and be helpful. We didn't encounter any of them being bossy at the pool, but they were smoking in the game room, which was reasonable, in my opinion, since they're there 16+ hours a day to be available and helpful. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Very nice, scenic area, the campground is built into a hillside. (We ended up in a tent site that was about 75 feet up the hill from the pool, just because of the way it cut back.)

Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer. Campsite Descriptions: wooded, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring. We stayed in a tent site, so I really can't comment on the quality of the hook-up sites. For a tent site, it was nicely spacious, with plenty of room for the monster 12-man tent we brought. The ground was actually a very fine gravel, more than sand, but was reasonably comfortable. The staff was more than willing to accommodate that you could pick your site from whatever was available, and tried to keep campers spaced out so everyone had their privacy. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly. Reasonably clean, decorated, it may have seemed like a lot of them, only because they were clustered towards the front of the campground.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The showers and restrooms were relatively clean, although the rubber mat on the floor to prevent slipping presented a problem from that standpoint. The only real complaint about the showers were that the stall doors were to small, and it felt like they didn't cover you sufficiently. Otherwise, more than adequate, and if you wanted something pristine, you should have been in a hotel anyway. Activities and Amenities: pool, swimming, video games, pool table, camp store, dumping station. The pool is above ground, but it's clean, and after a day of hiking, felt nice until the sun went down. It has a depth of 4-5 feet. The store was sufficient for things like firewood and propane, and small things like that. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. A town with stores, etc. is about 5 minutes away, and nature trails and the like around 10-15 minutes.
