Jennifer gave us this review on 07/05/06. Dates of Stay: 7/1-7/4/200. Will You Return? No. What did you camp in? Tent

Overall Campground Rating: not good.

What stood out? It was really annoying that the owner drove by every 5 minutes and everytime he passed by he had something to say, either we had the water running to hard or the car was parked wrong, etc. Check out time is 11:45am and he was around from 11:30 on making sure that we were out of there on the dot. Not very friendly!

Owners and Staff: Always screaming at each other and just not friendly. When checking in you get a very bad first impression of them.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Campground very beautiful. Alot of trees so not much sunshine.

Overall Site Quality: fair-average

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, Campsite Descriptions: semi-private, picnic table, fire ring

Clean restrooms and showers? no. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Toliets hardly worked by the site, the kept flooding and they stunk horribly.

Activities and Amenities

pool, swimming, playground, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Pool is attached to the office. Pool is so small and only 4 feet deep and you are being closely watched everytime you go in, you just can't enjoy yourself. You feel like an unwanted houseguest.

What is nearby? ocean or lake

Last comments: If they want to stay in business they have to be more friendly to make their guest want to come back.

  1. This is the main reason we don’t like to camp on holiday weekends. Everything is crazy!

A lot of campgrounds (in the summer months) will hurry you out of your campsite, so they can get it ready for the next camper coming in.

  2. We left on Tuesday and half the camp was vacant the whole weekend.  Which we now know why.  It just wasn’t the fact that he was rushing us out, it was their overall attitude towards their guests.  They were incredibly rude the whole time.  The definately have to work on their people skills because if they were nice people we would probably consider camping there again.  But we felt like we were bothering them.
