Approx Dates of Stay: 7/31-8/2. Overall Campground Rating: not good. What stood out? At entrance is a number of permanent or seasonal sites that look like "shantytown". On the way to our site you pass an area that looks like quarry work is going on and a dump with old vehicles and trash. The bathrooms are very dirty and need of update. The floor is covered with a plastic mat that is very dirty and the whole place smells like mildew. Owners and Staff: Family owned and it appeared as if the entire clan was always there. The whole family was smoking up a storm in the game room, and we had a 7 year old family member tell us what we could and couldn't do in the pool, which is small and an above ground. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Very wooded, and not scenic in the least.
Overall Site Quality: not good. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer. Campsite Descriptions: wooded, fire ring, highway noise. The fishing and boating lake is a small, brown, dirty looking pond. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered, too many seasonal sites. Looks like "shantytown"
Clean restrooms and showers? no. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Pretty nasty. Activities and Amenities: pool, pond. The place is basically a dump. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, amusements. Last comments: Don't stay here unless you're just looking to get by for one night.
