Lisa & Russ gave us this review on 03/19/06. Approx Dates of Stay: 2. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer
Overall Campground Rating: fair-average.
What stood out? The campground was very clean. It did seem to have mostly seasonal campers and many of the sites were empty. The amount of bugs were outragious! It didn't matter what time of day it was they were there. The deer/horse flies in the mid afternoon and misquitos morning and night. Almost made it impossible to stay outside. There was also a bees nest in the concrete around the pool which was dangerous considering you are wet and the gate opening is right there.
Owners and Staff: The staff was friendly and helpful.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Mostly grass with gravel roads. Very clean.
Overall Site Quality: very good
Good/Bad sites: The back 5 or 6 sites seemed to have the most horse/deer flies. Campsite hookups: electric, water, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, semi-private, large and spacious, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring,
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers:
Activities and Amenities
pool, swimming, playground, camp store, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate. The pool was very clean but the playground is small, outdated and off to the side. We didn't find it until the last day and the campground isn't that big.
What is nearby? ocean or lake, nature trails. Lake Bomoseen
