Overall Campground Rating: not good.

What stood out? Nice flat sites, beach was very nice

Owners and Staff: Our first nite we had trouble with our electricity, the two maintenance men were awesome!! Office staff was very curt, somewhat rude and not friendly

Camp landscaping and surroundings:

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: 6, 18 Bad sites: any in the 100's

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable; Campsite Descriptions: wooded, large and spacious, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered, snobby seasonal campers, too many seasonal sites. there are 2 sets of rules:1 for seasonal, 1 for transient-seasonal people were very rude and made us feel like we did not belong.

Activities and Amenities

lake, swimming, fishing, boat rentals, video games, tv or movies, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. the fishing area was a small dock. there was no fishing allowed anywhere else and you were casting in to the boat docking area. Beach was nice, raked everyday.

Last comments: When we made our reservations the woman told us that we had access to the campground across the street that had a heated pool, sauna etc. she also said that the campers from that campground had access to clearwater. Well when we went to use the pool, she told us that she never said that and called me a liar! Our friends went to check in at 12:40, check in is at 1:00, they wanted to charge them for an extra day for coming in 29 min. early. The overall experience was not very pleasant. We stayed here last year and had a blast. I can honestly say we will never go back after this.

  1. I remember the two campgrounds sharing amenities as well. Perhaps they changed it a bit now.

    I looked on the Meredith Woods cg web site, and they do say they have access to all of Clearwater’s facilities…but it doesn’t say that Clearwater can access Meredith Woods.

    It is unfortunate that there was such a big misunderstanding during your stay.
