They do have lots of hiking trails.

Last comments: although this was not as bad as some I have seen, what we look for in a campground is nice spacious level sites and nice swim area. We went in the fall but could easily see that the pool was very small and the swinm area in the pond was something I would not swim in. Also the sites were small. The staff was very nice and they did have lots of activities but that is something we do not use. They do have lots of hiking trails. Over all it is not what we are looking for in a campground but there may be others who like the things that they have to offer. I would say if hiking trails, lots of activities are a must for you then you may like it.

We swam in the pond over the summer-it was not dirty! Why would you say this if you never even swam in it? I don’t let my kids swim in filth-it was a pond! Ponds look dirty because there is dirt on the ground. This pond is not dirty at all!The pool was fine, we swam in that over the summer as well. I loved this campground-everyting you mentioned they have is what I look for in a campground.
Posted by Adam on 10/10/07We camped at Chocuroa and I agree with Kim. The sites are very close, and even though we went in the summer I didn’t like the looks of the pond either. I did think it was very pet friendly and the trails were great for walking.
Posted by Susan on 10/16/07I loved walking my dogs in those trails and letting them swim in the little stream.
As for the pond. I don’t let my kids swim in filth. It was clean. I loved this campground and hate when people say things that are really not true. Maybe you are just used to pools.
Posted by Adam on 10/19/07It is just something I would not want to swin in and My kids did not like to looks of it either. Looks mucky not even sandy. Just not my cup of tea. The people were really friendly as I said but it is just not a place I would return too.
Posted by Kim Dostie on 10/22/07You didn’t actually swim in it. Well my kids and I did and found it fine. Not mucky at all.
