Claire gave us this review on 08/06/07. Dates of Stay: July - Aug 2007. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Motor Home - Size of Camping Unit: 26'6''
Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? The public areas were well groomed, neat and clean. The main entry road is paved, cutting down on the "dust factor".
Owners and Staff: The staff were all frienly and helpful.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Some of the sites are "pond side" offering an opportunity to see the duck fleet come in every day. Well treed sites and nice views of the mountains.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good sites: Looks like 42, 44 ,46 and 48 were nice ones, but could not be sure. Bad sites: I am not sure of the numbers, but some of the tent sites looked to be a bit tight on space.
Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Easy connections for us Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, large and spacious, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise,
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, The few we saw were neat and well "loved". The seasonal folks we met were very helpful and kind.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers:
Activities and Amenities
pool, pond, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, live entertainment, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails.
Last comments: We specifically went here to take advantage of their "Dog Daze" weekend. As with many people our pets are full family members. It is very nice to see a facility that not only is pet friendly, but recognizes these "campers" and provides the dog park, walking trails and day care. We were very impressed by the efforts of the staff who put this entire program together and hope that this becomes an annual event.

I wouldn’t camp anywhere else if I had the choice. This place is wonderful-all aspects. The staff is more than nice. I just can’t say enough about this campground. I have stayed at about 25 campgrounds in the past ten years, this one is by far the best.
