Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? It was a Holiday weekend and the staff were obviously very busy but still managed to make everyone happy. They also had activities taking place in the campground for children and adults as well as their own hiking trails.
Owners and Staff: A wonderful place to stay for anytime or anyone. They are able to accomodate any style of accomodations from tent sites with water frontage to Rustic Cabins and Lodges.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: The campground is on a beuatiful pond with water front sites and those that are treed. They also have a number of cabins/lodges for rent on a small island in the pond that are very private and have water access as well as a hiking trail on the same island.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good/Bad sites: The Teepee A Frane Cottage is a wonderful option for those that would like a cottage on an island experience. This location also has a private bathroom, fridge, stove, fireplace and sleeps up to 8! Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers.
Activities and Amenities
pond, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, pool table, live entertainment, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Well planned event schedule!
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. They are located in the foothills of the White Mountain Region of NH. 20 minutes driving provides you with a limitless amount of any recreational activity and of course some of the best, "tax free," outlet shopping in the country!
