Approx Dates of Stay: Oct 4th to Oct 6th 2002. Overall Campground Rating: very good. What stood out? We have going to this campground since 1980 and have never had a problem with noise or rowdy people. We hadn't gone there for about 10 years and just recently started too again. Glad we did! Owners and Staff: The owners are nice people and staff seemed very nice. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Campground is nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. Arlington is small quaint New England town.
Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: no bad sites something for everyone's taste. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, grassy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring. We love this campground because of the variety of sights to pick from. The river front sites are all beautiful, and the other sited are great too. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes.
Restrooms and showers need updating? no.
free showers.
Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.
Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The restrooms were just updated only thing there are curtains on the stalls instead of doors.
Activities and Amenities: pond, river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall,
playground, pets allowed, dumping station. There is no camp store but a nice general
store nearby to campground. There is a huge field for playing horseshoes, bacci ball,
tether ball etc. There is a public swimming pond right next to the campground that
you can walk via a path from the campground. What is nearby? restaurants,
grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. This a beautiful part of Southern Vermont
there are a lot of activities for all 3 seasons. The campground is right on the Battenkill
River which is world famous for Fly fishing. The sites on the river are transient
only so everyone gets a turn. Reservations are a necessity to get these sites. Last
comments: There is a lot to see and do in this area such as the Green Mountains,
toll road to top of Mount Equinox, Manchester VT, a lot of outlet shops, restaurants,
and sightseeing.
