Approx Dates of Stay: Summer every weekend. Overall Campground Rating: excellent. What stood out? People are so friendly. This is a Lutheran based campground however I am not lutheran and had plenty to do. Also the food is excellent. Owners and Staff: Staff is always willing to help with anything from setting up to checking out to food preferences. You can buy meals there or cook your own as many or few as you like. Lots of things for kids of all ages from playground to lake to hiking and bike riding. We liked that there were no golf carts didn't have to worry about the kids on the bikes Camp landscaping and surroundings: beautiful lake ossipie with boats to rent and canoes. They have an area for softball, basketball, soccer, hiking you name it or you can just lay on the beach. Some sites are larger and more private, the rv area flatter on the even sites
Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: Depends on what you are using, tents would want the more wooded area for protection from rain. rv area is better if you have a hard time parking. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer; Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, large and spacious, somewhat small, sandy bottom, picnic table, group camping area. Each site has a camp fire area and wood is easily available Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, you have to make reservations 2 years in advance for seasonal and they are very limited.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The new bathhouse is the nicest the older ones are used during the somer for staff of the resident and day camp.
Activities and Amenities: lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, AM coffee, pets allowed, We love all the things to do and the special weekend are great you can participate in as much or little as you like. This is a very quiet camp ground never have seen any parties or loud noises very little alcohol going on felt safe when the kids went to the park alone or bathhouse. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, nature trails. Last comments: We make reservations early every year as july and august fill up real fast
