Approx Dates of Stay: 7/24-7/31. Overall Campground Rating: excellent. What stood out? Steve, he is the activities director. He is a great asset to the campground. All activities he is involved with are fun, and he always demands respect and manners from every child he deals with. Owners and Staff: Manny, Maria and Mike. Elaine is the office manager, and she is very friendly and willing to help with problems or to ensure your stay is a wonderful one. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded, except the safari area. The road leading to the campground is a 3 mile dirt road, so be forwarned. However, it is constantly graded and this year was the smoothest ride in the last 4 years.
Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: Good 65 66 67 67a all the lake front sites Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, large and spacious, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Most sites and very easy to get into with most units. They are in the process of changing over electric to 30 amp where needed. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Very clean and well maintained. We found the showers behind the arcade to be the best.
Activities and Amenities: lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Security Card requires a $5 deposit which is returned when the card is turned in at the end of your stay. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. There is a trail at the end or Deer way leading to Sebago Lake approx 2 miles Last comments: The beach area has no lifeguard or staff, and can become a problem with rowdy groups of teens, taking over the docks. There are times there are many children 14 and under unattended. There is always an activity going on to keep everyone busy. You should never hear your children say "I'm Bored". They redid the mini golf area, and are putting in a new playground by the beach. I have always camped there with 2 other families and between us we have 9 children ranging from 9-16 and they constantly on the run.
