That's Camping Review: 1999 ***Just an observation, we didn't stay here. Small, pleasant campground. Sites along the fence are good; they include #s 55 to 58. The cabins are very cute, with screened porches. We peeked in one briefly and it had kitchen area and looked very nice. They have a pool, playground, and laundry. Shirley revised her review on 06/14/02:

UPDATE!!!! We drove thru the Campground today checking out our site for an upcoming weekend. We are VERY disappointed in several changes!! #1. They have put more seasonals on the RV sites, and it's looking like "shanty town" Some of these seasonal units are old, dirty and Stuff all around. They have also raised the rates for 2002 to $24.00 for off water, and waterfront sites to $30.00 per night. We may change our minds and not even...

That's Camping Review: (6/01) New owners at Dixon's in 2001. A very nice campground, but the only real downfall we found is that there is no pool. The owners told us they plan on adding a pool and hopefully more electric sites. Possibly also adding sewer to sites as well.

On the whole, sites are large and spacious, some are secluded or on the side of a rock or hill. Some notable...

Approx Dates of Stay: inspection visit. Overall Campground Rating: fair-average. What stood out? This was an inspection/visit only. Still a little cold (22nd of April) for camping. There is now a pool. Sites seemed pretty small, generally. This area is 37 years old and obviously geared to tenters. Sites were, for the most part, fairly close together. Bathroom/shower buildings were adequate, but again, small. More like out-houses upgraded to flush toilets. Campfires are now allowed...

What stood out? The campground itself is beautiful, unfortunately the seasonal RV campers ruined our trip. They played loud music two and a half hours after well posted quiet time.
