Although advertised as dog friendly, unless you are prepared to not leave your campsite (to venture into town or take advantage of fishing, canoeing or hiking without the dogs) this is not the campground to visit. Overall Campground Rating: very good.
What stood out? Tranquility and very clean. This is the most peacefull camping I’ve ever been to.  You rarely hear cars on the nearby road and it is nestled on a beautiful lake.
Owners and Staff: The staff-owners are very helpful and very friendly.  They were very quick to help us settle in (backing-up our pop-up) and to answer requests (fixing the table).

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Peaceful, sandy beach. Grounds well monitored by rangers. Sites were a bit cramped, but the surroundings make up for it. There is no firewood for sale at the camp office -- supposedly someone drives through and sells it but we never saw him.

Owners and Staff: DEC campground. We stayed their during Americade and quiet time was enforced, and the roads were well monitored by staff.

What stood out? Beautiful surroundings, clean restrooms, much to do!

What stood out? Excellent location to Lake George, close enough, yet away from the traffic. Large sites, very friendly staff, lots of activities. Too many seperate charges for different activities. What stood out? I camped here every year since I was a child; I have brought my own kids back for many years and we will return again this year.
