What stood out? Absolutely fantastic location across the road from intriguing historical ruins (some are in the campground itself), next to beautiful Lake Champlain and the Vermont-to-NY bridge, and about 10 miles north of Fort Ticonderoga. A must-camp for American history enthusiasts. This site is for people who like basic camping and don't need playgrounds or organized activities to entertain them.

What stood out? Very quiet despite sites being right on top of one another. All sites have direct water access for dropping in canoes, kayaks, etc. and for swimming right from your site. Downside is that very few sites had defined boundaries, much less any privacy from the adjacent sites.
