They were gracious to let us take a quick drive around to check out the campground on a busy Saturday. This is a nice state campground. Some sites are better than others. There are three areas to camp along with water view sites, which are really good sites. Some sites are massively large, and some have sloped driveways and some are a bit uneven. Shady wooded, pine needles and dusty bottoms.
- Some notable sites:
- Area 1: 76a, 75, 75a, 61a, 80a, 74a, 32a, 35, 26, 22a, 21, 10
- Area 2: 36, 6a, 5
- Area 3: 22, 14, 10, 9, 6w, 7w, 8w, 10w, 11w, 12w
There is a camp store, beach, play fields, showers. Good access to the restrooms. There was a good mixture of tents, pop-ups, and travel trailers. Just be sure to ask if the site you are reserving is level or if the driveway is too steep for a trailer.
