Wells, ME. -
Donna gave us this review on 07/22/09. Dates of Stay: June 26-28 2009. Will You Return? Undecided. What did you camp in? Motor Home - Size of Camping Unit: 27 ft
What stood out? On the positive side, this campground/resort is very clean and modern, but the sites are all pull thru in rows, very close together. We don't like these types of sites where you are surrounded on all sides by campers.
Owners and Staff: Staff was very friendly.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Immaculate grounds,Mini golf on site.On trolley line.Wells beach 1 mi across road.Waling distance to stores and restaurants.
Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, somewhat small, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, There are premium rv sites w/concrete pads, etc, but this place reminds me of a nice parking lot for campers. We like a more rustic campground. There is little privacy here.
Cell Phone Service: Virgin Mobile worked well.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, You could hardly tell there were seasonal sites,as they were so immaculate.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.
pool, video games, playground, camp store, pets allowed, Pool looked good, but it was too cold to swim.Nice store. No planned activities at all.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. We liked Wells Beach.
Last comments: This campground was too orderly and perfect for us.Not fun to be in constant view of others as soon as you step out of your camper. Not a good place if you like activities for kids.We prefer a campground to be more spread out,but it is ok for a night.

We go often camp all around the USA and we always enjoy and feel welcome, but this time at Wells Beach Campground because a misunderstanding for a day less to stay, the manager start raising her voice and being rude with us, even saying that we were talking in French behind her back witch was not true! She even say “go somewhere else if you are not happy! Our attitude was always polite, for an excuse, another employee told me that it as been a tough day! They should be nicer with Canadian because more then half of campers are Canadian there!
