Susan gave us this review on 07/13/05. Approx Dates of Stay: July 2 thru July 8.
What stood out? The campground was on a peninsula and you were surrounded by water. You could see the water from every site.
Owners and Staff: The owner was so friendly and everyone seemed to gather around the office and chat. They were all very helpful but touring in the area
Camp landscaping and surroundings: You could see the sunrise and set over the water. There was a pond with baby ducks that the kids loved to feed.
Good/Bad sites: The only reason I didn't give it an excellent is because some sites were very close together, especially when a big rig pulled in next to you Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, She plans on adding more sites and hopefully she will add more space between sites.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, There were only 2 or 3 couples that stay for the summer, and they had the big rigs that look like buses.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The restrooms were not fancy but they were very clean and we never had to wait for a shower.
pond, ocean, boating, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, This is a small campground with only 40 sites.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, nature trails. There is so many outdoor activities to do in the area, hiking, biking, kayaking etc. Campbello Island is nearby and so is Quoddy Head State Park
Last comments: We had a relaxing and enjoy the people of Lubec Maine. They welcomed us and we can't wait to go back again next year.

My husband and I visited this campground in August 2007 and dearly loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We visited campebella island and the other lighthouses. We also visited annabells downtown along with the other businesses there. Very nice town, clean and neat! The only reason we would not go back soon is that we both work and it’s about 18 hour drive for us. We hope that everyone is doing well there and I think about it often. Loved the scenery and cleanliness of the campground. Thank you!

P.S. - There was a gentleman in the office that smoked a cigar. How is he doing? Take care.
