Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Cleanliness, child friendly
Owners and Staff: Staff were okay. Most staff were young students, but were ok. Registration office was fine. Snack bar girls were great! Made me fresh coffee every morning! 
Camp landscaping and surroundings: This is a huge campground, the surroundings are very clean. Which is surprising with all the children at this place!
Overall Site Quality: very good
Good/Bad sites: Our site was great #135 we liked it where were were close to activities, yet private , and quiet! Some are crowded , others not as bad. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, somewhat small, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, I only camped here once so I do not know what it would b like to camp at other sites. I did see some quite crowded, others not as bad. This is a popular place and people book early.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, too many seasonal sites. There are alot of seasonals and permanents, but our neighbor who was permanent was friendly and took us out on a tour on his golf cart so I can't complain! My husband did try to play volleyball in pool with the men, and the regulars took right over!
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? no. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Restrooms/showers near pools are very clean. I think the ones in the other area aren't as updated. There are only two restroom/ shower sites at this campground! Not enough for all the campers they serve.
Activities and Amenities
pool, swimming, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Pools are great, and there is adult pool too and whirlpools too. The Arcade is tiny and not good for the money this campground charges! Needs some updating and more games that work. They do not give refunds either on non working machines. Signs are posted. Camp Store has mostly everything you may need or run out of. Snack bar prices are reasonable and food is good!! Coffee is good too. Activites galore but not that long sometimes not worth it. Bingo is a big thing here. There is no fishing at this campground. There is horseback riding, if its not too hot to take out horses!! We had that problem! Security is good. Trash Pickup is good.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, amusements, We did not leave this campground. We were here to relax and enjoy not run around like we do all the time at home. However, Foxwoods Resort is close and beaches too.
Last comments: This was our first experience camping, so we do not know alot. However, I do know that I like clean, and this place was Clean. Not a paper in sight and there are many many children here. The sites are poorly numbered.. must search. The Arcade is poor. Check in/ Check out times they are strict on too. Those are my other complaints other that, what can I say? We enjoyed it, and want to return! If you do not like children, Do not go to this campground.
