Approx Dates of Stay: August 5-9, 2004. Overall Campground Rating: not good. What stood out? If the sites were any closer together I would not have been able to put out my awning. There were also very bright lights through out the campground that were on all night. Owners and Staff: They had a lot of rules, I felt they were a little too "tense" to be running a campground. Camping should be fun and relaxing, you shouldn't be worried they you might break one of the many rules that are unique to this campground. Camp landscaping and surroundings: An old looking campground with some very old mobile homes that had been there for years. There was a site any place you could fit one on the property.

Overall Site Quality: fair-average. Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: somewhat small, picnic table, fire ring, The friends that stayed at the campground with us stayed in a tent site. They would have had to pay extra to put up a second tent, yet they didn't have to pay extra for a third person to stay in their tent. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered, snobby seasonal campers, too many seasonal sites.

Clean restrooms and showers? no. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: There were only two restroom/shower buildings for the entire campground. Waiting for a shower was the order of the day. There was a good deal of sand and dirt on the floors of the showers. The bathroom stalls were too small to close the doors if you were taller than average. Need serious upgrades to these facilities. The owners know the keys for the buildings don't work right yet they keep the buildings locked. Why are they locked in the first place?

Activities and Amenities: camp store. The only really positive feature about this campground is the free daily paper. Not very kid friendly. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, The proximity of this campground to the ocean allows them to run it however they choose. It is more of a mobile home park than a true campground. Last comments: I have camped all over New England for many years and have learned to look for the positives that any campground has to offer. A free newspaper was the only one I could find here.
