We just returned from our second trip to Springbrook in Shelburne. Nestled high in the hills of the Mohawk Trail, the sweeping views are absolutely astounding. Within 10 minutes are the Glacial Potholes, just below the Deerfield River Dam. The High Ledges is a five minute drive from the campground, where we park then hike 10 minutes to the cliffs. It is breath-taking.
We have young children who love the pool, and the penny candy sold in the store. There are no activities at all, which is a nice change. This provides us opportunities to go and enjoy the culture, and natural beauty of the area.
The proprietors run a very clean, peaceful establishment. They will try to accommodate as best they can, while seemingly to strive toward providing a very simple and comfortable atmosphere, which they have done beautifully. Every time I go there, I can't help but feel thankful that there are people willing to share their land.
