What stood out? The campground was spotless. The views were wonderful. Facitilies clean. The sites were secluded. It was very quiet even though the park was full.
Owners and Staff: Staff was very pleasant and helpful with suggesting activities. They even stopped in one night to see if we needed anything. They rake the sites and clean the fire rings before your visit.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: The campground is wooded and beautiful. It is somewhat rustic, but well maintained.
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, private, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring,
Cell Phone Service: No problem with cell phone service, even though we were in the mountains.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The bathrooms/shower were cleaned every morning.
No activities or amenties, but there is plenty to do in Stowe/Smugglers Notch.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, nature trails. Lots of great hiking and biking nearby in Stowe and Smugglers Notch.
Last comments: This is a beautiful, quiet place to stay while you hike the green mountains, bike the Stowe bike trail, dine at the Stowe restaurants and visit the shops. Burlington is under an hour away and a great place for biking, restaurants, shops, etc.
