Martin Lane gave us this review on 09/06/07. Dates of Stay: August 2007. Will You Return? No. What did you camp in? Tent - Size of Camping Unit:
Overall Campground Rating: horrible.
What stood out? I camped here recently with my family. The real problem with this place, became clear later on in the evening after we had arrived and it was too late to go on to another campground. A quiet time rule isn't enforced. We camped near several drunken people whom played radios, cursing and shouting well beyond midnight. It continued despite mine and others' complaints. It seems the park is so large and busy during the summer, and the RV and camping sites are so crammed in close to one another, that the small staff is ill-equipped to maintain a clean and peaceful atmosphere.
Owners and Staff: In the morning after our stay, I inquired about a refund. I was told that the campground doesn't give refunds. It was no surprise, I suppose, to hear that the campground upholds policies having to do with its own interests, and is lenient with its own policies having to do with ours.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: We arrived after dark, so it was difficult at first to notice how dingy and trashy it is. For camping, the park offers a small, narrow grassy field, near a small lake. There aren't individual campsites.
Overall Site Quality: terrible
Campsite Descriptions: close to the road, group camping area.
Clean restrooms and showers? no. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting.
