Three generations of our family plan an annual camping trip to Shannons Saco River Sanctuary. The first generation, 89 and 94 come to visit. We have camped along the river in most sites, as well as camping in riverview. Management offers us coffee in the morning, transportation of our kayaks for floating from the Brownfield bridge back to our campsite. We have forgotten stakes, ropes, tarps, and even a bicycle for one of the grandboys and they were provided. Management offers a generous supply of firewood and they are strict about quiet times which helps to get the children settled in at night. Shannons is idyllic. I recommend it to anyone looking for a natural camping experience.Posted by LBE on 08/16/08
