Chris and Dave gave us this review on 08/17/05. Approx Dates of Stay: July 30-Aug. 4, 2005.
What stood out? Clean, well-maintained campground with very clean bathrooms and showers. Very quiet at night--staff patrols at night to check for overly large fires and presumably unruly guests.
Owners and Staff: Pretty friendly.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Sandy/dirt campsites. Great location--about a mile from Brewster beaches, short drive to ocean beaches. About a mile from Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking, and three miles from Nickerson State Park.
Campsite Descriptions: semi-private, somewhat small, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, Sites are somewhat small. Tent sites have water and electric.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Immaculate showers. You may have a short wait during peak showering times
video games, pool table, tv or movies, playground, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, Wood cost $5 for very small bundle, but we found better deals at self-service roadside stands along 6A in Brewster (near the Animal League) and Wellfleet (forget where). Dryers were 25 cents for five minutes.
What is nearby? restaurants, ocean or lake, nature trails. Good location for cycling.
Last comments: Overall, a very nice campground and a great location. We'd readily return.
