Jack gave us this review on 05/11/06. Approx Dates of Stay: May 8-May 10, 2006. What did you camp in? Motor Home

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Good: Very quiet, although very early in the season; Sites were quite large; Improvements planned for all aspects of the campground; New ownership in second year; Clean bathrooms and showers. Not so good: Bathrooms old and limited in size (planned rebuilding/upgrade in next few years); About 50% seasonal population.

Owners and Staff: Very friendly and helpful; family-owned campground; new owners (second year)have started renovations and improvements.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded sites with no highway or industrial noise; most desirable sites are seasonal; transient sites are more open, closer to bath house.

Overall Site Quality: fair-average

Good/Bad sites: Many wooded sites, but most were seasonal Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, other Wi-Fi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, large and spacious, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Water outlet quite a distance from sewer, so approved potable water extension hoses needed to reach outlet (We use a reel-type NSF-approved Handi-hose in these cases).

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, Most seasonal sites seemed neat and orderly, although most were not yet occupied. Much effort to clean up winter debris ongoing while we were there.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Major rebuilding and renovations planned in future by new owners. Old owners apparently let things slide before selling out.

Activities and Amenities

pool, pond, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate. Very early in season, so pool not open. Store small, but seemed to have the essentials. Small playground under repair at the time.

What is nearby? nature trails. Rural Monandnock area of NH, so facilities somewhat limited. Very scenic area.

Last comments: Nice little campground with real promise for the future with young energetic owners.
