What stood out? The energy of the new owners and all of the employees. This is a place my family has gone to for years and it needed a little TLC. It is it now and I cannot wait to go back next season.
Owners and Staff: whoops, i already did that. The last manager there was not a people person. The new owners are and I think they will do great.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: They have a 17,000 square foot activity center and a beautiful natural setting. Being in Maine there are a lot of pine trees and there is a beautiful river that is just a short walk down the nature trail.
Good sites: don't know but mine was in the 90's and I liked it. Bad sites: don't know
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, none Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area.
Cell Phone Service: cell phone worked fine. WiFi only works at the activity center and near the front office.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: they are clean but need updating.
pool, pond, river, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, video games, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. The amenities I checked were mostly available. The rest are listed on the brochure that they gave me and they said they would be availalbe next year
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails.
