Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? The nicest group of people I have seen running a campground. Very nice sites and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Very nice pond located in the middle of the campground. River also runs thru the campground for swimming and fishing

Overall Site Quality: very good

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, close to the road, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. can be tight getting into sites around the pond

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.

  1. I was happy to see another camper enjoyed this campground as much as we did! Near the beach was a great restaurant that had a carousel on the grounds for the kids to enjoy. If the rain ever stops, we will visit there again. It’s great for taking the Bridgeport Ferry to Port Jefferson on Long Island too!
