Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? Large, quiet sites. Great playground and game room for kids. Safe enough for kids from 4-14 to ride their bikes, and be on their own for a while. Wonderful swimming pond with sandy beach all around in a circle with RVs encompassing the water. We went to The Bronx Zoo in 90 minutes and enjoyed NYC, then back to the best seafood restuarant we've ever been to about ten minutes from the campground. Hammonesset State Beach is 1 mile away. It's also a good Sam park with discounted costs. All in all...one of the best weekends we have had in the NorthEast.

Owners and Staff: The owner is a 3rd generation owner and lives in a farmhouse way back of the camp. He even collects eggs from his chickens and sells them fresh at the store. The entire staff is extremely friendly and they all watch the children at play just to be on the safe side!

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Large fire pits with stone sides, Very easy roads (we have a 40 footer 5th wheel) Immaculate toilets, The nicest swimming pond I have ever been to, situated in a typical upper-class bedroom community easily negotiated with well-marked signs along the road. Right off of I-95 exit 62, A field larger than 3 football fields mowed better than my home's lawns.

Overall Site Quality: excellent

Good/Bad sites: None Campsite hookups: electric, water, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, large and spacious, picnic table, fire ring,

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.

Activities and Amenities

pond, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, pool table, bingo, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements,
