What stood out? Nice quiet place. We stayed in one of the Lean-to sites and I have nothing but praise for this campground. The sites are very well kept, most lean-to sites have direct water access and the staff was beyond helpful. I am not familiar with the tent sites.
Owners and Staff: Helpful, very friendly and enforced quiet times. Very professional.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Woodsy, on a crystal clear pond with loons and limited motor boats. The Rail trail runs through the campground which is great for biking and jogging. There are miles of hiking trails. Kayak, canoe and row boat rentals are available at the ranger station. It is part of the Groton State forest which offers a lot of hiking, swimming and biking
Good sites: Most of the waterfron lean-to sites are awesome. Azelea is probably the best, and Iris is another great site. Daisy is probably the largest if you have more than one tent. Bad sites: Lean-to sites- Aster ,Rose and Violet are very weedy, but still waterfront which is good if you don't want to swim. Marigold is right next to the bathrooms and has very little privacy. Not a great place if noisy bothers you. Tent site #8 is right next to the swimming area, which is convenient, but has little privacy and can be noisy with swimmers.
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, picnic table, fire ring, Many of the lean to sites are quite rocky, so I say a lot of tents in the lean to's. We just slept in the lean to, with no tents at all. NOTE- LEan to's are about 8x12 with a 4 foot overhang. If you have a big tent, call the campground for the best sites.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: No seasonal sites
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.
pond, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, Ice and wood are available at the ranger station. Very non-commercial. No playground
What is nearby? nature trails.
Last comments: Can't wait to go back. Perfect for people seeking quiet, family camping.

I’d say they’re around 10x12. Big enough to comfortably hold the picnic table.
I have seen people pitch a tent inside or as a sleep area for those w/out a tent.
Most people appear to use it as a dry room for eating, playing games, etc.
