Sounds like a great cg! Just wanted to know - is the ocean water very cold in that area? Went to New Jersey and it was nice and warm! But I do plan on going to main summer ‘08 and will check this place out.

Is this the campground that has the Train that runs though the back of it at 2 or 4am? I remember some one mentioning a campground nead Old Orchard? FYI, Wild Acres is another campground up there that’s not bad..

I remember a different experience at this campground. The campsites are VERY small and cramped. No privacy what-so-ever. I know I posted a review on this campground back in 2003 or 2004 when we stayed here. I like Bayley’s (Best Sites) much better.

I think the last time we camped up at Old Orchard was around 1998. I believe they most of the campgrounds have small sized sites. Something about being at the beach and smaller sites. I remember Bailey’s was one of our favorite places to camp until they reduced the size of there sites. Wells Beach Resort is like that.

I also had a much different experience at this campground. Didn’t like it.

The last time I stayed at this campground I found the place expensive, overcrowded, small sites, you pay fees for everything, pets, kids, bikes even the mini golf they have on site. It’s buggy we think because of the wet swamp in the back. The sites are on top of one another. It’s mostly a seasonal place with inadequate pool space and a very tiny hot tub which doesn’t stay more than luke warm. It has 3 pools but one is a kiddie pool just a foot deep and another pool just 3 feet deep or so. It’s noisy and we didn’t enjoy our stay. We will never waste money on that place again. There are much nicer places to go that are close to the beach.
