Tina V. gave us this review on 07/21/08. Dates of Stay: 7/12-7/19/08. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Pop-up Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: 30 feet

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Children's Camp/Daycare and the Entertainment were outstanding for my boys, ages 4 (almost 5) and 6.It was the first time our boys had seen a live play and they were thrilled! The bad was the bath houses. They were terribly disappointing for a resort, though I suppose most people there don't need showers since they seem to be phasing out campers altogether.

Owners and Staff: We met a lot of employees there and they were all nice. We found the security did a nice job of consistently patrolling our cul-de-sac and the entire campground.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: absolutely beautiful. We just fell in love with Sebago Lake. It is worth your while to rent a touring boat for the early bird special (dawn to 9:00 am for $60-it was a spectacular morning)

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: any sites that are left! Bad sites: there are now fewer and fewer campsites to pick from. I believe they will probably be under a hundred left by next year.

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Wifi in Sebago Square Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, large and spacious, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, you are going to hear lots of golf carts up and down the streets. But I really enjoyed being in a cul-de-sac so at least the boys could play ball in the road relatively safely.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly,

Clean restrooms and showers? no. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? no. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: that was my biggest criticism for a place calling themselve a resort. I just found them to be pretty rank.

Activities and Amenities

lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Food at outdoor cafe was good and reasonably priced. Loved that Gifford's ice cream and thought it was a good deal. Camp Store well stocked. Buy your t-shirts at the Tuesday night carnival they have at the Pavilion-they'll be cheaper and money goes to Camp Sunshine, their charity. Playgrounds are great, water park was a big hit with kids. Absolutely so glad I pre-purchased tickets to the Welcome Show, High School Musical Production and Pirate Show. The entertainers were top notch. Chippy's playhouse and staff were phenomenal. Allowed mom and dad to hit happy hour from 3-4 and we thought drinks were reasonably priced. Buy a souvenir tall glass in the beginning of your stay and they will refill a bar drink at small drink price! Also, the lobster dinner is well worth the money: we didn't think so and got price gouged in Naples, Maine.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. Plenty of shopping along route 302-will take you about 20 minutes to get there: supercenter walmart, Hannafords, Shaws...on the way home we ate lunch at a place called Charlie Beiggs-we highly recommend it for casual well priced food that was really good! Lobster roll and seafood chowder lunch for 12.99!

Last comments: The saddest thing is that I met a number of adults who have memories of camping here since they were babies. I just think that in a few short years, there will be no more campsites available and it will be all park homes. I wrote that in the comment card, not sure if I'll get a response. That's such a shame if it does happen....the campsites in that area just did not seem to compare in amenities.
