Approx Dates of Stay: 4/28 to 5/1/2005. Overall Campground Rating: very good. What stood out? The grounds, roads and sites were well kept. It was opening weekend, rainy and it still looked beautiful. Owners and Staff: Everyone we encountered was very friendly and pleasant. We chatted with the owner's father (also the previous owner for 47 years) - very nice man. Son is making terrific upgrades. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded and well landscaped.

Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: We stayed on site 101 - large & wooded. Site 99 next door was great too. Sites near the water were nice. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, other Linkspot wireless internet offered for small fee Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, Wood chips on sites - kept dirt out of camper. Nice. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, too many seasonal sites. It was opening weekend for seasonals when we were there. Everyone seemed friendly. Sites were well kept. No old trailers or clutter.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: There was only one small bathhouse in our area - I wonder during peak season if that would be enough. All sites in our area did have full hookups so this might not be a problem.

Activities and Amenities: pool, lake, swimming, fishing, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Brand new pool area - looked beautiful. Thought pool was a little small for such a large campground though. What is nearby? grocery stores, Not too much in Oakham - but short travel (20 min to 1/2 hr) stores, restaurants etc. We ate lunch in East Brookfield at a place called Boondocks - good home cookin' - reasonably priced. Last comments: I would have given campground an excellent rating but thought that there were just too many seasonals. I would say at least 85% of campground. I would have to visit during peak season to see how it would be - that's if I could get a reservation - they are hard to come by - now I know why - too many seasonals.
