Lisa gave us this review on 07/05/06. Dates of Stay: 6/2006. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Tent
Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Campsites on the water were very spacious. We had sites E14 and E15 and had a LOT of unused space because the sites we so large. We had a 6 person tent, a screen tent AND badminton court set up. Bad: You can hear the highway, which is REALLY annoying. Also, other campers walk freely onto the site because its close to the river. Night fishing gets bothersome when you are trying to sleep!
Owners and Staff: Staff/Owners are AMAZINGLY nice!
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Landscaping is very nice, except you can see/hear the highway from most sites.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good sites: E15, E15, E16, E17
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, somewhat small, close to the road, grassy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, group camping area. E14 and E15 were very nicely shaded and pretty private.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: snobby seasonal campers; Most campers were from Quebec and spoke french. VERY snotty!!!
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: It was a bit of a hike to get to. Bathrooms were generally clean. Showers made it quite humid, and the stalls were VERY small...too small. No "handicapped" stalls.
Activities and Amenities
pool, pond, swimming, fishing, camp store, AM coffee, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. PERFECT Location!

Sorry to hear that the Quebec campers left you such a bad impression. I promise you us french speaking folks aren’t all snotty. I personally love camping in the States and am fortunate to speak both languages, which can be a major barrier for ones only speaking french, so they may appear more snobby. But you’ll encounter many fun loving French Canadians, be assured of that.
