Approx Dates of Stay: May 28-31 2004. Overall Campground Rating: excellent. What stood out? Very clean! Spacious sites for us transients. The seasonal sites were all in one area, looked a little crowded for my taste. Owners and Staff: The owners were wonderful!! Very friendly and helpful. Very accomodating. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded and private sites. Field sites around a pond that was stocked with trout that the kids could feed.
Overall Site Quality: excellent. Good/Bad site #'s: All of the sites were well maintained and clean. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. We had gone on Memorial weekend and it was very quiet. We had an entire cul-de-sac to ourselves! Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, The seasonals are not really near everyone else, so we really didn't get a chance to see anyone. Some people may prefer this....
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers:
Activities and Amenities: pool, pond, swimming, fishing, camp store, pets allowed, dumping station, There is not much to the camp store so bring what you need. There is not any planned activities for children so if you are looking for someplace to entertain your children this is not the place for you. I went with my two children and we loved it. It was a little cold that weekend to do any swimming but the pool was in very good shape. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. This is right near the ocean and the owners supply transportation to the beach. You are also ten minutes away from Ogunquit and York. Last comments: This was a very nice camping experience for us. We have had campgrounds in the past that have not been very pet friendly, these folks were wonderful when it came to our dog!
