Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Large, private campsites. Clean campgrounds & facilities. Very friendly staff & campers.
Owners and Staff: Very friendly & helpful. I needed directions a few times & they were more than happy to help. They even put the Sox game on in the office for me! (they earned major points for that one)
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Very clean, large sites. We had 2 tents & 2 cars on our site & still had plenty of room. Apparently there was a river nearby but we never ventured over to that part of the site.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good/Bad sites: D-3 Campsite hookups: primitive tent, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, large and spacious, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, There was some highway noise that I only noticed at night. I could barely hear it though. Was not a problem.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, The seasonals seemed very nice to me. Did not have a problem with them.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The floors in the stalls get pretty wet during the morning because of the showers but overall the restrooms are very clean.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. Beautiful beach in York. Amusement park in York. Also, excellent restaurants in both York & Ogonquit. Good local surfshops (There's a Liquid Dreams surfshop in both York & Ogonquit. Excellent deals!). Plenty to do in the area. 1 weekend was not long enough.
